XO Wine Company is a boutique winery hand-making small batch (sometimes just one barrel) wines from the Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale. Kate and Greg use their experience in commercial wineries to combine practical with minimal intervention and artistic flair. The result are pure wines, with a bit of funk, that taste of the variety and site.
Living on their 42-acre property in Kuitpo, the decision was made to convert a small shed into a winery, and 2017 saw the pair produce a few batches of their favourite varieties. The wines XO produce start in the vineyard and Kate and Greg pride themselves on working with some fantastic growers who are just as passionate about producing quality wines as they are. Greg is the head winemaker at Chain of Ponds and will show some of these wines to add a bit of contrast.
