Come and celebrate six years fuelling Melbourne's literati. From humble beginnings as the rumoured taxidermy room when the State Library was also the Melbourne Museum, we met the Moat as an empty storage basement and have poured blood, sweat and ideas into what has become a thriving inner-city bar and restaurant. 

We are so proud of what the Moat embodies. We are in awe of the conversations shared, the books written and published, the essays and submissions drafted, the creativity born and lubricated over glasses of rosé which have gone on to live and breathe as part of Melbourne's hungry arts and culture. Let's cheers to that.
